"After your band has gotten together, put together music, and recorded a demo the next step, for becoming successful, is start playing shows in your area. You can start playing local shows at different restaurants, coffee shops, small clubs and other venues that have local acts. And then, you can move up to bigger venues, such as places in the cities. In order to find venues in your area that have live music you can refer to a number of different resources. One of them is The Musicians Atlas. This is a complete list of all the venues, in clubs and restaurants that have music in the United States, it's a great tool to have. When you're trying to find gigs you can contact a person who does the booking at these places. For example, at the venue, Toads Place, you can go online and click on their book site, section, and find the people to contact in order to get a good gig."
