on 8/2/2008 This was a step I was completely unaware of. Luckily I had not washed the two jeans I had made. Very important!! I had made my daughter some jeans a while back and was a little discorage because some of the paint had peeled of. Now I know why!! Thanks Again All these videos have helped and given me the confidence to pursue my new hobby!!

"Okay, so we have finished our design. Basically, we're going to let it dry for a good hour or so. Read the directions because every paint is slightly different. In general, what it's going to tell you is to turn the jeans inside out and you're going to heat set the paint with an iron for about 2 minutes. You really want to make sure to go over it and make sure that you're covering your entire design. I think there's an alternative, you can throw it in the dryer. I prefer the iron. I just seems like it does a little bit better of a job. Once you heat set your design, you can wash it in the washer or dryer. You can pretty much treat it like any other jeans, unless you've put rhinestones. Unless you've added something on that's crafty that you're not going to want to throw in the washer, then you would probably hand wash it. Other than that, they're very easy to take care of. I hope you've enjoyed them. Join us here. We're going to learn how to do a custom belt buckle next."
