"A couple of tips about matching your buckle and your belt. What you want to try to do is find your buckle first and match the colors on your belt to the buckle. If you paint the strap first, then you've sort of set yourself up for this impossible job of trying to find a buckle with the colors that match your strap. That is just unnecessarily difficult. I'll show you two examples. On this piece, this was actually a necklace that I took and I glued on the buckle. Then I took the colors from here and I matched the paint to that. On this piece. This was actually a pin that I found. It's metal and I've painted it. This is why it's a little chipped off here. You can touch that up with paint. That's why it's always good to mix up extra. This needs to be touched up. Basically, I painted this first and then I just matched this strap to that. You always want to make sure that whatever you do, you're not stuck with the strap that you can never find a buckle to match. I would suggest on finding your buckle first. "
