"Now we are going to continue to make that opening that I started with the palm of my hand. I'm going to back into and use my fingers like I do on the small bowl and I'm going to go back and forth to compress the clay. Even though it was compressed a great deal with my palm of my hand this is more to get that nice curve of the bowl and to just compress it a little bit more. Now the edge of this has a little double rim I like to get rid of that before I go to the pulling and the way that I'm going to do that is I'm going to push my thumb in and pull my fingers out and really push down on this sponge. You can see there is a tiny lump in there and that little lump is probably a air bubble because I may have not wedge that big piece of clay enough. It does take a while to wedge a big piece of clay like that. Again you just want to make sure that you get some of the excess water out and this is all set for pulling up the wall. "
