"The next kind of foot that I'm going to trim is a 3 footed cup and the way I do this is I will actually trim much like I did on the last foot. I'll trim a ring foot and again I left a lot of clay in here which is right here, I left a lot of clay there so I'll trim my ring foot. Then I'll take the knife and I'll cut away for the 3 feet so I'll start this the same way as I start any centering. You do want to check if I have it thickened enough in the right places and I tap it center, put the lid on to distribute the weight of my pressure of my finger evenly. Now I'm not going to take to much off of this on the outside that's it. I don't touch this at all because I'm really cutting away on the inside more than the outside. "
