"Alright now, I just trimmed the lid so it's already for me to attach a knob to the top of this. Now earlier in the series I threw a very large bowl that was about eight and a half pounds and I had to use my hands really differently for that large bowl. Now I'm actually throwing like a little miniature pot on here so I have to use my hands in another way before I was using the palms of my hands now I'm just using the tips of my fingers for this. I'm going to take this little piece of clay and I'm going to roll it into to kind of like a ball form and put little flat area on the bottom then I'm going to take a little bit of the slip , and slip is just clay and water and put a little bit of slip on top of there maybe a little bit right there and I'm going to scratch or score is the proper terminology score a little area there and a little area here. I'm going to put this on here and I'm going to wiggle it and put a little bit of pressure down and i want you to think about when I centered the clay for a pot, that's exactly what I'm doing right now. I'm pretty much just moving this over and centering it. I'm going to drizzle a little bit of water on it and make sure that my fingers are also wet. Just using the tips I'm going to push down, It's a very very gentle touch and one thing that's very important that you should know is make sure that your lid is thick enough and dry enough because sometimes you can push down to hard and go right through. So this is just it's pretty much just centering and I want to make sure I have a little undercut here so that when I lift, my fingers have something to grab onto. If this part is narrower then this part, my hand my fingers will slip from it so just tuck your finger in there and then this top I could just get a little bit of this sloppy part off clean up my hands a little bit and I could make a little swirl just like that and just check it again that you have that undercut cause sometimes you'll loose it, very easy to just put your finger the wrong way and it takes it away. Ok , I'm just going to smooth out that side that looks a little rough , right there, we have a knob on a lid."
