"Now I'm going to, to make a little knob for the top of the lid so that would be like what you see here just something to put your hand on, lift it up you know to put it back down there. The , the form that I just made and just made the lid for I just want to show you that this is what it ends up looking like at this point and I have enough to grab there just to show you how it fits on there , I'm going to put that in there ok? Then I would trim away the rest of this now I don't have this in the leather hard stage but I do have another lid that which I'm going to demonstrate how to make how to, how to trim it and how to make a knob for it. So I'm going to again like I've done before tap center it putting my hand over here watching it hit there and tapping it so it's centered ok? Now my hand my finger is touching evenly and I'll grab a lid put it on here and carve away. This clay is a tiny bit wet that's why it's sticking a little bit to the pot. We can make a little edge on there, cut into to that a little bit there so I have a nice line that shows some definition from that rim to the actual top part of the lid, take that off, and that's pretty much the shape that i wanted now that's going to get messy again because I'm actually going to be throwing a little knob on there."
