"Hi, myself Manish Paul, on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to learn how to cut onions. Now, the selection and storage of onions. Let us start with Spring onions. Spring onions, the bulb should not be fully grown, the leaves should be bright green in color, and they should be absolute no soil at the roots. Spring onions can be stored for 3 to 4 days in a refrigerated condition. Let us see about Scallions. Scallions, the bulb is well grown. Again there is no soil content, at the base of the roots, and the leaves, they are proper green in color. Let us see for Shallots. Shallots should be firm and dry. Again, no soil at the roots, and there should not be any odd smell coming out of it. It can be stored at room temperature. Dry onion is a regular red onion, and for selection, it should be selected by proper shape. It should not be too small or too big. There should not be any odd flavor coming out of it. It should be properly coated with the outer skin dry. Again there should not be any soil at the roots. They can be stored 3 to 4 months at room temperature. Moisture absence should always be there for the proper storage of red onions, and there should be no soil at the roots of any onions, only for the reason being that there are germs in soil and it is harmful for our health."
