"OK. So I look, and I find a league that is live. And then it pretty much tells me some of the rules that are involved in picking the league. Now usually you have, in most leagues, you have a starting lineup; a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, a tight end, a kicker, and a defense. That's pretty much a standard league. There are also different wrinkles. Like I'm in a league that has an option that you can pick a wide receiver/running back. That's a third option. You can pick either/or to take a certain position. So let's take a look here at some of the breakdowns. So you have to look at the stat. categories when you're deciding on getting into a league because each league has a different type of statistics. And you want to make sure that when you're picking a league that you understand when you're drafting players. So you have pretty standard is basically passing yards is 25 yards per point, which basically means every time a quarterback throws for 25 yards, you get a point. And every time they throw a touchdown, it's six points. And then usually wide receivers and running backs, it's kind of standard when you have every ten yards equals a point. And some leagues will actually have bonus. If a wide receiver or running back gets a hundred yards, some people give a point, two points, and three points. And 200 yards, you might get a couple points, as well. Also, tight ends are kind of on the same system as that, as well. Kickers, you have some leagues are set up where if you have just three points for every field goal kicked. And then some of them have over 50 yards, five points. This league right here has got heavy emphasis on the kicker. So it has field goals that are 40 to 49 yards, six points; 30 to 39 are five points. So what that means to you is that in this league, kickers are really important. Sometimes the kicker might me the guy who scores the most points for you in this type of league. So you kind of want to make sure that when you're picking a kicker, you get a really good kicker, which kind of throws off your draft status."
