"Hi, this is Marie French with Expert Village. Now we're going to learn about how to put he closure back on to the back of the piece as well as hanging a back piece for the necklace. Here I've used a chain and what I like to do is I make the back piece because it is sort of something special seeing something on the back of your neck if you're walking down the street somebody says, wow what a pretty necklace. Well it's always because it's a little extra. So what I've done here is I've taken a small chain, like this, and I cut this chain off at about I'd say 8 or almost 2 inches. I just use the tin snips and I cut that off and then I lay a rhinestone for this piece and I'll add a nice little charm, maybe a little rhinestone heart charm, and these all again wrap with the 26 gage wire so that they form on to the back of the necklace. Now I'm going to wire up that whole back piece to the back of the necklace and at the same time I am going to attach my hook and eye. With a hook and eye I have chosen one that is a sterling silver hook and eye and we'll take that and wrap this back piece on to the hook. Then I'm going to take the other side of the necklace and wire wrap the small circle part to that chain. Now you have a finished piece."
