"I got done with the last step which was fulling. I now have my scarf completely done. I have my designs on both sides and I have it the shape I want. It's shrunk up quite a bit. Not too terribly much in this case. Shrinkage is going to depend on how thick you make your scarf. What kind of wool you're using. On a lot of different factors. So really if you're calculating shrinkage you're going to need to make some samples and do that yourself. But at this point I'm done with my processing. I'm going to rinse it out. Try to get as much of the soap out as possible. It got cold while I was fulling it so I'm doing it in hot water which, shocking it going from cold to hot will help shrink it some more, which I want to do. So I've gone from cold to hot. I've got the soap out but wool does not like an alkaline PH which the detergent will give you that. You need that for the fulling process but in this case I'm going to neutralize it by putting it in water with just a little bit of just plain white vinegar. And then I'm going to rinse the vinegar water out again. But I'm going to just give it a couple minutes to kind of soak in my vinegar water to neutralize that PH. It's kind of like using conditioner on your hair. And then once that's soaked for a couple minutes I'm going to rinse that out and squeeze the water out of it. Hang it up and let it dry in the air until it's completely dry."
