"Okay I've finished throwing my wool. I'm all worn out now so I'm going to sit down and do the next step. Which is a little bit more hand working to do. Complete my fulling process. My tray here, my boot tray has a nice bumpy surface on it which is good for this. You can also use a washboard or a marinade tray from Tupperware or whatever. But I'm just going to literally rub each area of my scarf on this bumpy surface. And this will help make sure that I have fulled each section of my scarf. Now, depending on which direction you rub in, it's going to shrink preferentially in that direction. So if you have a section that's wider in one spot and you want to narrow it down, you can actually rub it in the direction you want it to shrink and actually preferentially shape your piece in a certain way. So keep that in mind. If you just want it to shrink all over, rub it in circles. But you want to go over your whole area of your scarf like this little point I want to bring in a little bit. So I'm going to rub just that point and just in a couple seconds of rubbing I can shrink it up and make it smaller. So those are all tools that you can use to help contour your scarf at this step. Because you can control exactly where you're going to do your fulling. And we're almost done with our scarf."
