Sewing Lining Inside Jewelry Bags

"Now that we have this pinned, and I have my area marked above the drawstring casing, before I start sewing, let's go over it one more time. This is where I made my mark right here, and right here, to leave open. I don't want to close this. I have right sides together, shiny side to shiny side, wrong sides on the outside on both, like that. And again, I didn't mark where I'm going to sew, I'm just going to sew about half an inch all the way around the edge. And the reason I don't have to mark it, is even if I marked it perfectly the shape of a circle, it's going to look exactly the same as if it were a little egg-shaped. It's not going to matter, because the bulk of the purse is going to be underneath here, and you would never be able to tell that it wasn't a perfect circle. Usually the design of the bag like, hides flaws really well. So instead of even marking it, what I'm going to do--I'm just going to make sure that I get both pieces. So if I'm going to be here sewing, I'm like it's pretty close, I'm going to look under here and make sure I catch it. But this is where I decided I want to start, so from here to here is going to be open, so I'm going to start right here, and the first thing I'm going to do is back tack it. And then, if you notice also, I have black thread on top again, and black thread on the bottom. This thread is going to be on the inside, and nobody will be able to see it. I still have my stitch really small, so I'm going to turn it up a little. Ah, that's a little bit better. Here I am a little bit close to the edge, I'm going to go in a little bit. Just to make sure I catch it, and if you have to, flip it over and look, make sure you have it. Put that pin back in. And this is where my--my little opening is for the drawstring to come out, and this is where I mark it, so I want to get right there. Here we go. And before we put our pacing on, that's when we're going to actually mark where we want to sew. And that will actually matter. Okay, let me just flip it over, make sure I'm getting everything--yep, looks good. And if this tries to move on you a lot, you just hold it and kind of make it do what you want it to do, and you guide it through the dog feet. Here's my little mark, there we go, right on top of it, that's good. Okay, so I'm coming back on the spot where I wanted to stop, and so I'm going to come right over here and back tack. There we go, that's perfect. And I'm going to flip it over just to make sure I got everything. Yes, everything is sewn in. So let me go ahead and take these things out, and while I'm doing that I'll discuss what we're going to do next. I'm going to run a simple seam that's going to help me close this in the end, and I'll show you how that's going to work, but we've got to go ahead and do that now, so I'll do that in the next step."
