"So now we are about ready to look at this coin purse and see what size we are going to make it. It can be any size that you want. I chose just about this size cause it fits my purse very nice and easily. I think I want to make another one exactly the same size as this or roughly the same size. So I'm going to go ahead and measure it and see what size that I'm going to be working with. So this one is about 6 1/2 up here but if you remember there is a seam in the inside that you have to make a 1/2 inch seam allowance for this little coin purse. If I do that then again just about 7 1/2 inches all the way across. Then we would measure from the top to the bottom and that is just about 5 inches. Up at the top there is no seam up there. But there is a seam at the bottom so we are going to add half a inch to that. There we go so it is about 5 1/2 inches but this one is going to be double because it is cut long ways. So instead of 5 1/2 inches we are going to cut we are going to cut double that and cut 11 inches. So far we have 7 1/2 inches here, 11 inches long ways but we also have to think about the zipper that we are going to put in. Around the zipper there is half a inch seam allowance on the bottom and half a inch on the top. Which would equal a inch. So you can add a inch to the 11 inches and that makes 12 inches all the way around. Then 7 1/2 inches long ways. So the piece of fabric that we are going to cut is going to be 7 1/2 inches by 12 inches. So we would get started cutting that out. "
