"Okay, so now we have our strap turned out to the right side. The seam is pressed open on the inside and what we want to do, we want to press this strap flat. But I want to make sure my seam is right in the middle. And so if you want you can measure it. I'm probably going to just measure one time then eye it the whole way through. I can see here my seam is right there in the middle at 1 1/4 and it's ending at 2 1/2 so it's right in the middle. So since I pressed that seam out it lays nice and flat in there. If it tries to turn on you a little bit just stop and make it lay flat. This fabric is really easy to work with. It's real flimsy but it likes to do what I want it to do and I like that. Okay, now lets go on over here. And I can tell some of my seam is wanting to turn so let me just, just use your fingers and just move it around in there. There we go. This one doesn't want to stay flat like I want it to. That's okay. This will probably be what you have to do, too. Just run your finger along the top of the seam and make sure that it lays flat. See, now I have it flat to here. Let me go ahead and press this part. And you know, if it takes you a little bit longer than it's taking me, that's okay. Now I'll even go over here and just pull that seam and make it lay open like I want it. So here's where I finish pressing. There we go. Oh, now there it is. It's definitely open now. So don't be afraid to just kind of make the fabric do what you want it to do. Because it really does want to do what you want it to do. Here we go. Let me press that. I'm almost done here. I'm going to help it along. I'm going to put my finger in there. Just pull it some more. There we go. I like to open it up like that because it just lays nice and smooth. There's not like a bump in the middle. If you have to put your finger in there that's okay. There we go. Oh, there it is. Now I've got it laying flat. It's still right in the middle. And you don't have to be exactly in the middle. If you're off an eighth of an inch it's not going to make a difference. It's still going to look good. There we go. And I'm almost done with the strap. And so now that we have the strap all pressed out? We're going to start working on the body of the messenger bag. And after that then we attach the strap. But for now we have the strap done. Looks nice and even. Let me take a little quick measurement. 2 and a 1/2. 2 and a 1/2. Yep. I just take little measurements throughout. I just know it's the perfect size. So let's get started on making the body of the messenger bag now."
