"Okay, so we've sewn our strap to 2 1/2 inches wide. We have the seam pressed open. Just along the side of it just like this. And what I'm going to do now is flip this strap out to where this seam is hidden inside. And this is just a trick that most seamstresses know. You just get a safety pin, a kind of a big one. And what you want to do is just hook it right here. Right next to the seam. You don't want to grab just one piece because it'll fray while you're doing that and then you'll be stuck with the pin inside. Just kind of grab both sides right on the seam, maybe like 1/2 an inch in. Safety pin it closed, of course, and just grab the safety pin head first and just push it inside. And you're going to feel it with your finger. And you can just push it and then what we're going to do is push the safety pin all the way out to this end. It's basically just turning it inside outwards. And it just looks like this. You have the end of the safety pin and you can just hold it with your thumb and just push it and gather it right there on your finger. And if you can't get the entire length of the strap on the safety pin at once you can start pulling it over. That's what we're doing is just kind of snaking it through the inside of it to flip it out. And I can still feel the safety pin in here and I can still feel the end so I'm still going to keep my thumb right here on the end and just keep pushing it on to the safety pin. And we're almost to the end and we'll see how that pin comes out. There we go. And if you have a real thin strap you might want to make sure you have a thinner safety pin because the thick safety pin wont go through a thin strap. Here we go. Here's the right side. With the seam hidden away and what we're going to do next is I'm going to show you how to press this out nice and flat. With that seam right in the middle and it'll be opened up so it'll be nice and flat and then we'll have our strap ready to be put on the bag. So let me show you how to press that out in the next clip."
