"Now that we know what we're going to make, we're going to make a messenger bag, we can talk now about what size that you might want to make. This one, I made specifically to hold this binder that I have. As you can see, it fits right in there. I can put some more books in there if I want. Then also I made just the right size for me. This is where I like to keep my bag. Some people might like it more up, or way more down is popular also. If you're making if for someone else, you might want to think about what size they are. If they're really tall, you might want to give them a lot longer strap. If they're really short, you might want to bring it up for them. This one's perfect for me because I can put it around here when I'm riding my bike. This one I made if specifically for me. The next one I'm making for my friend. She's a little bit shorter than me, but she wants the same exact style so she can keep her binder and her school books in there. I want to make it the exact same size as this one, but I want to make a shorter strap. Maybe like 6 inches shorter for her. Maybe 4. I have to think about that before I get there. What I'm going to show you to do in the next clip is how to measure this. Just copy the measurements and cut out with this fabric. Let's do that in the next clip."
