"Most Origami is made from a square sheet of paper. In this clip I will show you how to get a perfect square out of any sheet of paper. Most paper come with straight edges, and perfect ninety-degree angles. So for a paper like this, we will just simply divide the ninety-degree angle into a forty-five degree angle by folding this edge to align with this edge, like so. Now we have an excess flap here, and what we will do is fold it to align with this edge. And at this point, we can either cut off this excess flap with a right knife, or simply tear it off like this. And open it up and you have a perfect square. Now you if you have a sheet that's irregularly shaped, to get a perfect square, fold it in half as equally as you can. You have a one eighty line. Fold the one eighty into a ninety degree, and fold the ninety degree into a forty-five degree. Now note the edge where all the flaps are; make a little notch; a reference mark at the end of this edge. Open it back up to the ninety-degree angle, and here I will just mark it so you can see the notches that we made. And at this point, take your ruler, and you can either cut it between these two points, or fold it between these two points. And get a straight edge, and here, I am going to cut it. Cut it, and if you open it you have your perfect square."
