"In this clip I will show you how to make a pecking bird. It is a action figure, it actually pecks. This is the first model I ever learned. My mother taught me this and it is something that's fun. It got me hooked on origami. So starting with a bird base, with the open sections pointed towards you, we are going to take the top section and fold it to the left. And since we done it with the top we are going to do the same thing on the other side symmetry so that now we have two sections on this side and two sections on this side. And we have what looks like a fox head, with the pointed ears and the pointed nose. Now taking this top triangle, we are going to fold it all the way down in half, turn the unit to the other side, and with this triangle we are going to do an accordion fold. Fold the triangle all the way in half, feet folded back, and then folded back again accordion, and folded back. So that the final fold is the beak is pointed towards you. Take it, lift up like this and we are going to do an inside reverse fold for the beak. Pinch it closed, crease it and that's your beak. And you're done with the folding. Now the action. Notice that you have these two sections on the bottom. Fold them together, hold them between your thumb and index finger and form a little circle with them, with your thumb and index finger and this is the little bowl where the bird will peck. Take your other hand insert it into this little pocket on the wings, and all you have to do is push up and down, up and down. And your bird will peck."
