In this clip I will show you how to make a spinning top. It is a moderate skill model, so it requires some moderate skill. It is a fun model, unfortunately I don't know who the source is, I learned it from a folder who in turned learned from another folder at a origami USA convention in New York City. So for the very base, it's made of three pieces. For the very base we are going to start out with a windmill base. For each of these flaps, we are going to do a squash fold, so that it forms a nice rectangle. Do a squash fold for all four sides, with a windmill base, squash fold them down. And for each of these squares we are going to do a petal fold, fold the raw edges in for all four squares, for our guiding crease for our petal folds, for all four squares.
