"In this series, I will show you how to fold the water bomb base, the preliminary base, the bird base, and the frog base. And I will also show you how to fold one or two models, using each of these bases. So to start off with, we are going to fold the water bomb base. As a folder become more familiar with the models and bases, certain habits and shortcuts are developed. For example, for the water bomb base there are two ways to fold it. First is to follow the creases, so with the color side down, fold your paper in half on the diagonal, into a triangle. Open back up, and do a perpendicular fold, also on the diagonal, into a triangle. Now turn your paper over to the color side up. Fold edge to edge in half horizontally, so that you have a rectangle. Open back up, and do the same thing perpendicularly horizontally. Now when you open up the paper, you will notice that the paper automatically stands up like a pyramid. Taking the diagonal points, push your paper up like this. So that you have two sections on one side, and two sections on the other; flatten, and you have your water bomb base."
