"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Karen LoCasale and I'm here to tell you about crafting with gourds. Gourd farms are fun to go to, there's usually a huge variety which can kind of be overwhelming but it's really fun to be able to go in and pick through all the different varieties and shapes and sizes and that sort of thing so they are a lot of fun. Also you will find, especially in Arizona, there are some gourds that will grow naturally on the sides of the road or in peoples yards or empty fields. Generally the ones you see in Arizona are very thin walled gourds so they're a little bit harder to work with, you can't really cut them per se , you need to leave them in their shape that you get them so gourd farms are a better option. They usually have a thicker skin and you have more options of what to do with them."
