"Next I'm going to show you how to install the hardware on our valance. For our valance to hang this type of a valance which is a flat plank of wood you need this type of a piece of hardware. Which is kind of an upside down U shape. You need one part to attach to the wall; you need a little bit of a length to pull it away from the wall a bit and then another part going down here to attach the valance to. This is the valance and this is the wall. So I've discovered that using two small L brackets works just great. So we attach the one L bracket to the valance and then one L bracket to the wall. And then to hang it up we match the holes and attach the two L brackets together with a nut and a bolt. And this is perfectly good for hanging your wall valance. Okay now I'll show you how to attach the L bracket to the valance top. We're going to, I'm using a couple of scraps of wood here to raise it up from the table so that we don't so the beads don't get in the way, so we're not crushing our beads as we work. And you just want to flip the valance around like this and making sure that the beads are not being crushed or in the way. And we're going to be attaching our L bracket to the top of the valance like this. Okay so when it goes to the wall it'll be like this. Okay so you want to first mark that hole or do a starting hole. So I've just got a nail or a screw and I'm putting it into the hole and I'm just going to give it a whack just to get a starting hole for our screw. So you've got a nice little starting hole. Okay now this is a thin board and you want to make sure you choose the screw that will not go all the way through it that it will secure the L bracket without poking out through. And I'm going to use a few washers here to space them out a bit. And then and also the bracket will pull it up and then we'll just screw that on. And you can put these L brackets depending upon how many you want to put, I'm just going to put two, one on each end to secure our valance to the wall."
