Making Window Valances: Attaching Beaded Strings to Board

"After you've strung all your beads and you've measured them all, you want to double check the length of each and make sure that it is lined up the way you like it. And then we're going to secure the tops and knot them off. Okay now we're going to secure the top. Before you secure the tops if any of your strands need to be longer or shorter you can slide because there's only one staple holding it. You can slide the string up and down to lengthen or shorten the strand. And once you have the final position and you've checked and rechecked then we're going to tie it off. So first what you want to do is fold the strand down, that extra string you want to fold down and hold it down. And then staple the two strands down to the wood. And then we're going to take and tie with several knots we'll tie it off here. Now when we glue on our, the covering to hide all our staples and knots that will also help to secure your strands to the valance top."
