"So I'm all set up here now. I have my board that's marked, and I have a measuring tape taped to the table so that I can measure my strands easily. I've set up some clusters of beads that I want to string on my first strand, and I have the end bead cluster set up also. And now, and I have a nylon thread. You can thread onto a needle or you can just use the nylon thread without a needle. And you want to have about double the length that you're going to make the strand. So we'll start by attaching our nylon to the board. Okay. So place the nylon on our marked section. And we're going to staple it right on that center line. Okay? And we're not going to tie it off at this time, we're just going to leave it loose so that if we need to, at the end, adjust the length, we can slide that back and forth. When we're finished with our strand and we're happy with the positioning, then we'll tie that off. Okay. So you want to start with your first bead cluster and the clusters you can choose some small beads and large beads. Think about the color. Think about how the different clusters are going to look together. So you put your first cluster of beads, and then you take one of these little crimp beads, and you place the crimp bead underneath the cluster, deciding where you're going to put it. So my first cluster is going to go about two inches, one and a half to two inches, and you just take the needle-nosed pliers, and you squeeze that crimp bead nice and tight so that it squeezes the nylon line nice and tight. And now that will hold these beads in place. They will not slide down. You don't really see the crimp bead. It's very small and it will hold on the rest of the beads."
