How to Sew Both Sides of Your Bag Together With a Sewing Machine

"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making our little fleece bag. Okay, there you can see that that's a nice clean seam and I'm going to go ahead and just cut any little threads that you have sticking out there. That I have sticking out there. And now we're going to flip this on the other side, so now the pins are down because we're going to start again from the top down to the bottom. You go ahead and put it under there and make sure that you have both layers of your fabric underneath your needle and go ahead and start, do a couple of back stitches to create a knot and then once you see that your machine is going or once you feel comfortable to speed up your machine you can. This is very quick and make sure that you're catching both layers of your fabric. Sometimes it's easy, you can stop your machine if you feel like you're not catching both layers or if it gets away from you and you can actually pull your wheel towards you, lift up the foot and then readjust the fabric and put the foot back down and start again. But always make sure that you put your needle all the way down if you're going to lift up the foot. Alright, so when I get to the end I'm going to slow my machine down, I'm going to get to just about the end and then I'm going to do a couple of back stitches to create a knot. Then you lift up the foot, take it out, you cut your thread and we're going to clean it up here and there we have the beginning of our bag. I'm going to go ahead and pull the pins out. Put these there and then you just flip your bag right side out and I'll see you in the next clip and I'll show you what to do next."
