How to Fuse a Pillow Closed

"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making our pillow and we're actually just about done, we're on our last step. So instead of slip stitching it, which is an option, I'm going to cheat it a little bit and use our fusible tape which will close this up very nicely. It's going to have a nice clean look and it's quicker than slip stitching it. So you just basically tuck in the outside parts there like that, just tuck them in and pull it even. Make sure that you're going to be fusing it in an even way and then just measure. You just take your tape, determine how much you're going to need. Go ahead and cut it and then you're going to need a wet press cloth and then you're just going to go ahead and take your fusible tape and put it on one of the inside edges like that. Then you're going to take the other edge. Again fold it inside like that and then you're going to hold it and then you're going to take your damp press cloth and put it down on there and you're going to have to just push a little bit because of the stuffing. But go ahead and put your iron on there, and you just leave it on there and you count to 10. Then you pull it off and there as you can see now that's nice and sealed and you have a cute little pillow. It was very easy and fun to make, it's a great project to get your kids involved in. They can at very least help you pick out the fabric that you use and then help stuff it, their little hands are good for stuffing little small places. It's a fun project, you'll have a good time doing it and you'll have a product that I'm sure you'll be very happy with."
