Series Summary

Aside from a few Saturday morning anomalies such as the Banana Splits Adventure Hour, monkeys and bears really do not get along. Considering that they are from different parts of the world (think monkeys warm and bears cold), this lack of cordial relations is not at all unusual. They may eye one another in a zoo once in a while, but from behind bars everyone is an enemy, especially those in competition for the banana supply. These are the facts, pesky little things that often hold back our imaginations. Children are not so afflicted by facts as we are, and given the right stimulus their creativity can produce strange and wonderful ideas. Like bears and moneys becoming friends. Yes, art made this happen in the course of the fun projects explained in these free videos. What can art do for you?

Painting is an excellent way to help your kids develop their imagination and understanding of the creative mind. In this series, Expert Village explores different and fun ways to paint. Your kids will learn how to make fascinating abstract works by blowing blobs of paint through straws. They will also create interesting textures by painting with leaves and sticks. By asking them to paint without a brush, you encourage them to think outside of the box. In the final part of this free educational series, we will show you how to paint masks and act out a short play. “Do you like bears, monkey?”

"So my name is Katalin and this is my daughter and this is my son. Hello, I am Barbara and this is my little brother Motsi. We are from Hungry and I am the inventor of the creative English in Hungry. So we are here on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to show you a few tricks about painting that you can actually do at home. So, have fun. First of all when you do painting, you need to cover your nice table with a piece of paper and also you need to protect your clothes if you are not an expert in painting. So Motsi, do you think I can just wrap you in this? Yes. So I can save your clothes. Good boy. Right. First of all we are going to make lovely picture. It is good fun with the kids. Let's choose some nice colors. Do you think you could help me with this? So let's put maybe, three or four colors on our plate. I start with this blue. And choose a color what ever you would like. Let's use orange too. Okay, that a good idea. Which color? I say let's use green. Oh, you want some green? Very good. Okay. You don't need too much. Okay, then I put some yellow. Put the green here. Oh yes, that is right so let's make a hole in it."
