"Now let's make our ribbon bookmarker. What you'll need for the ribbon bookmarker is 2 pieces of ribbon. You want to be larger than the other. We're going to be sewing this on the sewing machine, but if you'd like you can sew this by hand. It would be simple with an in and out stitch, but the sewing machine is quick and easy. You also need a piece of a stiff plastic. This is recycled from an old plastic folder. You'll want to make sure that if it's going to show through the ribbon that it looks fine so if you use something colored. This one is clear, which would be great for anything. If you use something colored, you want to make sure that if it shows through the ribbon that it looks nice. We'll put that aside for now. The first thing we're going to do is decide how long we want our bookmark to be. I think probably 8 inches is good size. I'm going to cut this a little bit longer. I'll probably cut both of our ribbons to about 9 inches. Just cut that. Cut them both the same size. Put that aside."
