"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Okay, I'll show you to cut them out. On the paper cutter you want to have about an 1/8 of an inch and just slice that right down. You can eye it or you can measure, but it's about an 1/8 inch. You want to make sure that there is plastic all around the bookmark. Trim all the way around about the same amount. Now, it's nice to round the corners of the bookmark. It could be a little bit sharp there. If you round the corners that's nice. You can also just cut them out with the scissors. They come out fairly neat even if you don't have a paper cutter. You could also put it down on a board with the ruler and use an Exacto knife to cut them out with a metal ruler and a Exacto knife or razor blade you can cut those. The important thing to remember is to leave enough plastic all the way around the bookmark because if you cut too close to the paper then they won't last as long. Now, you can also use a hole punch if you want to put a ribbon on the top of it and just hole punch there and take some pretty ribbon and tie that up. This one on the back I wrote a little note to grandma and we'll send that to her. That's a really nice gift or it's nice to make just for yourself. We'll just cut that ribbon. This is the one I put the thumbnail prints that come with the photos from the film developing."
