"Hi this is Karen for Expert Village. Now what you want to mark where the bottom folds up to the top, you want to mark right here. Just put the top of that on this piece. Now unfold and we are going to cut from your marking to the corner where the top was folded down to that crease. I'm going to cut a diagonal cut right to the corner like that. Then on the side like so and then fold those open like this and then trim right on the crease all the way to the top. On both sides. Now we are going to glue our sides and you can either glue here or use some double stick tape. I'm going to use double stick tape because it is quick for demonstration purposes. Put the tape or the glue there and fold up like that. Then the envelope would be closing like this. So you can slide your card right in here in the diagonal edges. You can fancy cut the edge of the envelope if you like. I have one of these little hole punchers. You can use hole punches, you can take some of those fancy cut scissors or you can cut any other kind of designs you like on the edge of that. This could be either taped down or glued down. That is a nice handmade envelope. "
