"Hi. I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now I'm going to show you how to make a paper airplane. A paper airplane is a great little gift to send it in the mail because you can fold it flat and it makes a nice little toy. We're going to be using a 6 inch square of paper. A little bit of tape. A scissor. A pencil. And a ruler. We'll start by folding our paper in half. You want to match the corners like that. And then crease the back firmly. Next we're going to measure 3/4 inches and mark that in two places along the bottom of the fold. Here's our fold. And we're going to mark 3/4 of an inch in two places. Like this. and then place your straight edge of your ruler through the two markings and crease it up like this. And then flatten it out. Now I'm going to give you a bunch of measurements. And we'll mark it with little dots and we'll draw out our cuts to make the airplane. Okay our first measurement will be from this end 1 1/2 inches. And then just put a little bit of a dot there. Okay. Then the next measurement will be from this end. And it's 1 3/4 inches. And put a little dot there. Now measuring from this end up it is 1 3/4 inches. And put a dot there. And then measuring from this corner over again 1 3/4 inches. Now from this dot we want to measure 3/4 inches and put another dot like this. Okay now we have all our dots. We're going to make a curved line going from this dot to this dot like that. And then we're going to make a straight line going from this dot straight down. And then we'll make a curved line going from this dot to this dot. Okay and that will give you your cuts."
