"Hi, I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now let's cut our fabric for the clothing and the bedding for the bear. Now first choose what fabric is going to be the blanket side for the sleepy time bear. I have chosen this plain blue one and the four inch fabric is going to go on top of that. Let me show you on our example. For the sleepy side you are going to keep the top edge of the blanket so you need two fabrics. So this one was cut already in four inches. You want to have a piece that is four inches wide and then double the width of our pattern. So we can fold it like this, so that is double and I would trim the end. Double the width of that pattern. Now for out blanket portion, we fold our pattern down like that and place it on a folded piece of fabric. This is the open and now you fold it in and in half. I'm going to place the pattern right on the fold. Now if you like, you can put a pin and just to hold it in place for you and we would cut that piece of fabric size. I'm going to put one more pin so that it does not move around and cut. That is our fabric for our blanket portion and then you take another piece of fabric for the dress portion. Again, we are going to fold it in half. Let me see I would fold it like this so we don't waste too much fabric. For this one, you want the dress pattern is like this. Not such a fancy dress put the whole sheet with the corners folded down. Again, you can place it right on the edge of the fold and put quiet a few pins in it to hold it down while you are cutting. Cut that out. Cut these little corners off on both sides. Now before we start sewing our bear, we are going to be doing a little bit of embroidery work. "
