"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now I would show you how to apply the two different types of manes to the horses head. First take your horse head cut outs and you want to open it up like this so you have the two right side. The right side of the outside of the fabric facing up. Now for the fleecy fabric, first we are going to measure from the tip of the nose seven inches and we would just mark with a pen or you can mark it with a marking pencil. Now the mane, take the folded edge of the mane to place it right along the edge even coming over a little bit. Even a quarter of a inch overlap and pin that in place. So you would pin it all around like this, a little bit of a overlap and pin that in place all the way around like this. Then you are going to base it on to one side of the horses head. Now notice the mane is all coming down into the horse. Just pin that, follow all the way around to the back of the neck section and keep all the pieces of the mane in like this. Then pin that all the way down. This one stretched a little bit longer then the head. I'm just going to trim off anything that goes below of the neck. Like that, so that mane should run from this point which is seven inches from the nose. Come around the back of the neck and all the way to the bottom. Okay and for this one I'm not going to sew it. I'm actually going to sew the yarn one on. But I just wanted to show you that you pin it all the way down and then you sew it. Then the rest of the instruction would be like what we are going to do for the yarn one. So the fleecy one would end up looking like this. It has a nice mane. "
