How to Align the Bottom of a Zipper Backpack

"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now we are going to assemble the bottom of the backpack to the body of the backpack. First thing you want to do is turn that body inside out like this. We are going to be working on the bottom of the body so look for the top of the zipper. Make sure you have the right ends, this is the top and look for the top of the pocket which is inside. Keep in mind that this is the top and this is the bottom. You don't want to make a mistake and apply the bottom on top of the bag. So you want to check that out. Now we are going to take the zipper and just sort of fold it in half and fold the whole body in half like this. Mark that fold with a pin. We are finding the center of the backpack. This is the front of it and this is the back, the zipper back. Now match that center with the zipper like this, put them together and we would place a pin at the sides like this. So this is going to mark the center of the sides and the center of the back and the front of the backpack. So we have all of our center marked on our body, on the bottom of the body. Now take your bottom piece and we want to mark the center on the bottom piece also. Now you want to check which side you are going to be on the inside and which side you want to be on the outside. Mine is pretty much the same and does not matter which side. You want to be aware of which side is going to show and which side will be on the inside. So choose your sides and then fold the bottom in half and mark all the centers. So this is a side center and a side center. Just put in a little pin there and then fold it in half the long way. Again mark the centers. Now this would help us to place our bottom and put our bottom in nice and evenly you don't want it to be acute. So we would mark all of our centers like that. So now we have the centers marked on the bottom and the centers marked on the bottom of the body. "
