Popsicle Puppet: Lady Dress & Arms

"Now I am going to give our fun foam Popsicle stick puppet some arms and some clothing. Take a pipe cleaner and just wrap it around your Popsicle stick a few times. Then you want to cut the arms to a length that you want. Now we are going to also make some hands by twisting the ends. So you want to take into account when you are making how long the arms are going to be because we are going to make a little hand. So make the arms a little bit longer. Like that. Cut it off and then just grab it between your fingers and make a little circle, and that makes a little hand on our puppet. Now these hands can hold things because the pipe cleaners have the wire inside and it is very flexible and you can hold them, you can bend them, you can make them move in any direction that you want. Like that. Now we are going to make our little puppet a dress out of a fun foam sheet. So, you can just cut, basically, a triangle shape for our dress. And if you want you can add a little bit of embellishment. I put a little bit of a neckline there. Make any shape you want. Try it on for size. We will make her a little bit skinnier. This is a pretty evening dress. And then you will glue that on and then we will decorate it with sequins. Now when you glue it, you are going to go ahead, you have slid the arm pipe cleaner pretty much up to the neck area, and we are going to put the glue on the pipe cleaner as well as the Popsicle stick, and stick that down. You want to use, when you are working with children anyway, you want to use a nice quick drying, thick glue. So that everything is not slipping while they are putting, while they are setting it up. And place that on. And now we will just decorate it with more sequins. You can use beads. You can use more of these fun foam stickers and dress her up very nicely. And that is our fun foam Popsicle stick puppet."
