Gluing Beads to Mosaics

"Now, we've finished placing our pieces on the bottom. Even though it's not dry, it will hold the tiles nicely. So we can work on the top piece without this falling down. It's going to be upside down now; you can work on it upside down. I'll turn this around to match. Just proceed the same way. You can place your design elements on first and then transfer things round it or you can go side by side. What ever work method works best for you. Now, we've transferred all of our broken crockery and our design elements onto our mosaicked book end and I'm going to do the edge now with these nice glass beads. So, you'll use the same tile adhesive and you'll want to put a good size blob of adhesive that's going to cover the whole bottom of the glass bead. You want the glass bead to kind of hang over the edge very slightly or come very close to the end. Then also here, because you're going to have a bead here and here that will be filled with grout. So you either want it to be very very close to the edge or even very slightly pushed forward over the edge on both the sides and the front. In the back, you'll want to be away from the edge a bit. It's going to be filled with grout. You don't want the beads sticking out past the back because they are likely to be able to be moved or fall off. This is the back of the book end and it should be flush. You shouldn't have anything sticking out past that back. So, just place all your beads. You can decide how far apart you want them. Keep in mind that there will be grout in between each of the beads. You can move them while the adhesive is still wet. Then end one can overlap the edge a little bit because you're going to have the next one here and that will be filled with grout."
