"Hi everybody, my name is J and I'm talking to you on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm teaching you how to pick your produce at your local grocery store and what I'm going to do is teach you how to pick your parsley. Now, this is flat leaf Italian parsley and like the cilantro you want to make sure it has the nice green color all the way around. You want to avoid the light green little specks of leaves everywhere on some of the bad ones and you also want to inspect it inside and make sure none of them are real bright green or bright yellow color. You want them to be a nice earthy green color. You want to look at the stem and make sure the stems are nice and clean just like these are. Also for storing these you want to wash them when you get home and store them in a paper towel just like this one, just like the cilantro. You want to roll them up in a paper towel so that paper towel can gather a lot of moisture and take the moisture out of the leaves that causes mold. Now, when you store it in your bag you want to put these in your refrigerator. Most greens you want to stick in your refrigerator. Just like the cilantro you are going to stick these in your refrigerator and keep them in paper towel and they should last you a very long time. Also you can smell your flat leaf Italian parsley and they should have a very nice vibrant smell to them. If it does not then I wouldn't choose them. So basically the steps are; look at it and make sure it's a nice earthy green, look through it and make sure none of the leaves in the inside of the bunch are a bright yellow or bright, bright green and store it with a paper towel around it inside your refrigerator. And that is how you can pick your flat leaf or even regular Italian parsley at your local grocery store, thank you."
