"The next technique I'm going to be talking about is called dry embossing. The supplies you'll need for dry embossing is some source of light box. You can also use a window if you're in a real jam. You'll need some kind of template. You'll need some wax paper and of course, your card stock and a stylist. I have 2 different kinds of stylist here today and I'll show you the benefits of both. The first thing you're going to want to do is choose which from your stylist you want to do. I'm going to use the butterfly, so I'm going to rub a little bit of wax paper on my card stock. The reason you rub that wax paper on your card stock is to help your stylist glide a little easier. Once I've got it positioned and ready to go, I'm going to turn my light source on. You can see using the lighter card stock, it's a lot easier to visualize your design that you're doing. I always take the stylist that has more of a point and kind of do a quick outline first of my butterfly. Then I'll take the larger ended stylist and just really quickly rub the whole area until your image is complete. Again, with the stylists, it's really fun. It's quick and easy. You'll get raised design, 3D. You can use as little or as many of these on each card as you want. There's your finished design. If you want your design to pop up, you put the stylist and then your card stock on top. If you want it to be the other way and you want it to be the reverse image, you'll just layer them differently. Embossing is a lot fun. You can use it for many cards and scrapbooking projects. Ill hope you'll give it a try."
