"JEANETTE WHITE: Hi. I'm Jeanette White for Expert Village and Piper's Quilts & Comforts located in Sugarhouse in Salt Lake City, Utah. And today, we're doing a mitered corner in bias binding. Now, in segments 1 and 2, we applied our binding and we made our miter corner, and now, we're getting ready to finish it off. So, you will now take your scissors, and you will cut your seam allowance down to a scant quarter of an inch. And usually that's just barely shaving off a little tiny bit of your binding and sometimes none at all. Okay. Now, we're getting to finish up our corners so you can see here, this is our front side. And we want our front to look just as nice as our back. So, I'm going to flip this over, go to my back. I'm going to take one or two pins just to hold this so that I can turn the perpendicular side and finish off my corner. Now, I'm going to finger press this a little bit right here just so that crease will behave, and then I'm going to flip the other side to the back, take a pin and hold it. We'll put one more pin in here. And there you go. Now, we would finish this off either by hand or a machine but you can see we have a nice sharp point here on our front side and our back side, as soon as we finish this off, is going to look equally as nice to our front side. We have many classes at Piper's that do all of these techniques and more, so anytime you want to come in, please do so."
