"On behalf of expertvillage.com, I am Jennifer with a Perfect Fit Alterations. We are located in Burleson, Texas. Our phone number is (817) 447-3522. We are continuing on with our project. We are making a pet coat and we are demonstrating how important backstitching is .Now we have completed and decorated our top of our pet coat and now we are going to add the bottom part of our pet coat which goes underneath the pet so we are not going to decorate this. So now we are going to add our bottom piece on to the pet coat. We've cut out our pet coat bottom piece and we've read our directions and here on the directions it says put white sides together and sew across here. Now this is very important the backstitch a lot here because the stress is going to be on this when you put it on the pet. So we are going to line it up, the bottom edge here; put your presser foot down. Here you want to do the 3 or 4 stitches, hit your reverse button, you are going to backstitch quite a few times here; you don't want this coming apart. Then you are going to sew to the bottom edge and you are going to do the same thing. Hit your reverse key before you get to the end, 3 or 4 times and lock this into place. Okay, take your little thread snippers, trim your threads off and now we are going to flip it around and do the same thing on this side. You are going to go forward 2 or 3 stitches, hit your reverse key and backstitch and lock it into place, reverse key and backstitch to lock it into place and carry on to the end. Be sure and backstitch here on the end. We are coming along pretty good. "
