" On behalf of expertvillage.com, I am Jennifer with A Perfect Fit Alterations. We’re located at 102 S. Main Street, Burleson, Texas. Our phone number is 817-447-3522. Now, we have finished putting the trim around our little project, and now we’re going to put a button for an eye and a button for the nose. We’re using a two hole button and a four hole button, and we’re going to put these on with the zigzag stitch with the machine. The most important thing to do when you’re doing this is lower your feed dogs. Your feed dogs are located here and that’s what pushes the fabric along, and we don’t want the fabric moving because we need to stay still and zigzag in the holes there. You’re going to take your foot off, decide where you’re going to place the eye. Now this is going to hold the button in place while you zigzag; it’s a little tricky but be patient, you can do it. Now don’t sew, because if you sew while you’re in this position here, you’re going to break your needle, cause see your zigzag is not adjusted and it’s going to go right down to the button and it’s going to break the needle. So you want to adjust your zigzag down according to where the hole is, and you’re going to do this by hand; you’re not going to use the foot control. Okay our zigzag stitch is not quite wide enough, so we’re going to keep going wider until we got it the right width. We’re going to keep going wider until we have it at the right width. Now see how it’s sewing on that button… just keep turning the hand wheel; don’t use the foot control because if you go too fast doing this, and you’re using the foot control, you can break the needle; it can fly into your eyes, so for safety reasons just use the hand wheel. When you take it off of the machine, clip your thread and your eye is on the poodle."
