"Hi! I’m Jennifer on behalf of expertvillage.com from A Perfect Fit Alterations, 102 S. Main Street in Burleson, Texas, 817-447-3522. We’re going to talk about fasteners in this. We’ve looked on the back of our pattern and we’ve decided that we need some different fasteners. We have hook and eyes here which we would use to sew at the top of a zipper at the back of a dress, you can also use this, you might use two of them on a top of a blouse, they’re real easy to sew and real easy to put on. We have some snaps that you can put on baby clothing, you can also put on a front of a blouse if you don’t want to see how the garment is attached and fastened in the front. We have some Velcro that you can use on the top instead of a button on the top of a pair of shorts for the kids for the summer, a pair of wind pants, anything you want to fasten the top, the Velcro works just right. Here we have a little button that will go on the top of a western shirt, this one happens to require a tool to put on and it’s very easy, you just put that on there, put the material through there, put the back on and crunch down on it, usually this tool will come when you buy the snaps, it will come with the snaps. Here we have some double faced bias tape, now you’re going to use this bias tape when you’re doing some hemming or you’re putting some buttons on and you want to secure the top before you sew it. "
