"Hey this is Jerimae Yoder with Expert Village one of the things that you need to think about is being a solo artist is how you practice and how you rehearse. Practicing and rehearsal are two different things practicing obviously is scales using scales and modes and things like that, doing practicing your solo things on your instruments. That can be on piano or guitar using your instrument getting used to your instrument playing your instrument getting better at your instrument. On the other hand rehearsing is actually having a set of songs that your going to play out in specific venues and going through those songs in the transitions of those songs one by one by one. I find that after practicing my rehearsal is better if I have been rehearsing through the week and then my practice could be okay. But if I really practice hard and I really get good my fingers are becoming more exterious I can really move around my instrument. I really find that my rehearsals just go to the next level and that means that my performances also go to the next level as I'm getting better at my practicing and my rehearsing. So make sure that your doing those things that your practicing your instruments and that your spending at least a little bit of time every day on your instrument getting better at it. And then when your ready for a show and you have a show coming up get your things together and rehearse that so that you know where your going when you have your show."
