"Hi my name is Jessica and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to be teaching you how to make a hemp necklace. Ok so in this clip I'm going to talk about how to determine how much hemp you're going to need to make your necklace and how long you want necklace to be. The first thing is that you're going to need two strings of hemp so you're going to need two of these. And I'm just going to pull out a whole bunch but usually what you want to do is, it's going to be about five or six times the length that you need the necklace to be. So if you want the necklace to be about, about this length you're going to try and make about four or five times this. So you can just kind of fold it over that's two, three, four and five. So I going to cut that now that, with this particular hemp you might need a little bit more because it's kind of thin but to start off, you know, I'm just going to use these shorter ones because the shorter it is the easier it is to work with. So if you want to start off making maybe a bracelet instead of a necklace to kind of get the hang of it that's sometimes recommended. And so you want to make sure that both strings are of equal length."
