"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Jim Dufresne and I'm here to talk about amplifiers. All right, let's set up this microphone. Mic check. Now, the first thing I did was run the equalizer - I ran the treble up to zero, and the bass is at zero. Reverb, we don't need that right now. So let's go ahead and run that volume up a little bit right there. Okay, and our masters are already up from what we were doing before. Let's play with the equalizer and set what kind of sounds we get there. There's full bass. Upper or lower mid-range. Mid-range, upper mid-range, and high frequencies. So we put all together and we got something that's supposed to sound pretty natural. Add a dash of reverb. Here, let's add too much reverb. Hey, that's way too much reverb. That sounds obnoxious. And if you want something obnoxious, then, use a lot of reverb. No reverb at all, has a lot of presence, so we'd like to add just a little bit, just a little bit, like you would season the chili or something. You don't take a whole salt or pepper shaker and take the top off and put that into your chili. You use just a dash, same thing with the reverb, just a dash. Okay, now listen to that feedback. See, I could just notch that back down, there's a high frequency feedback, hear that? Mic check. Hear that. High frequency feedback, let's check that out. Okay. A little bit right there. Okay, and now we've got another one. And we can go through all these different bands with feedback and teeter each one. If we're having that kind of problem then we've got the unit up way too high."
