" Hello this is Jenny with simply beautiful crafts on behalf of expertvillage.com. I have so much fun making this sewing notion shadow box for my friend Stephanie of Stephanie's Simple Sewing. I simply took a lot of sewing notion a thought what would be a fun way to display them in a shadow box. I decided that a wire basket cutlery tray would do just the trick. So the first thing that I did was to take some foam cork board pokes some holes in it with a straight pin. Put some wire through it. Put some Elmers glue on it and attach it to some fabric. As soon as the fabric was glued on there I simply trimmed it up and then I was able to attach these pieces of fabric to my frame with wire. This one is hanging from this top and the others are fasten into the back. The next thing that I did was to take this little pair of antique sewing scissors and wire them to it. The containers of pins that is clear just fits in there nice and snuggly. Then I took some of this 28 gage silver wire and I wrapped it around the bottom and I attach it and then I tighten it up at the top. But before that I did that I slipped up a spoils of thread, wrap the wire around it, and then I use my pliers to pull it tight at the top. These two pieces are just simply attach through the back with the wire. Then I put a straight pin in here to hang the needle threader and a straight pin in here to hang the thimble. You can put many different kinds of sewing notion in here and it would really be fun if you have some that were special to you or are antique. Now you can leave this just the way that it is or you can put some silver paper behind it and that changes the look completely. I had a lot of fun making this sewing notion shadow box for my friend Stephanie."
