Tips for Embellishing Your Scrapbook

"Grace: Welcome back to Expert Village. We are watching arts and crafts and everything fun. And we're learning all about scrapbooking. We're on the last step of scrapbooking. We already laid out the page with the pictures and some journaling, and now we're going to add some more embellishments, like flowers and buttons. Right, Sonya? Sonya: Yes, absolutely. They're a lot of fun. They're really funky. They add the dimension to your layout, pick up some color and are lots of fun. Grace: Definitely, and I picked up some flowers here. Sonya: Right. Grace: Which, kind of like, they don't exactly match the colors here, and I thought that would actually be fun. Sonya: It is. One thing about Guatemala is that there are so many different colors, and so you can actually pick up those colors and feels when you're scrapbooking, with the different things that you use. Grace: I love it because this is very artistic. So, we use a glue. Sonya: You use your glue. Grace: Acid-free. Sonya: Acid-free. Grace: Always acid-free. Sonya: Always acid-free. Grace: So we just apply the glue. Did I apply it on the right side or..? Sonya: I think you did. Grace: It's okay? Sonya: They're sort of interchangeable. You're going to put those down there. Grace: Actually, it's not gluing. That's because I think I did it on the wrong side. Sonya: Let's try a couple more. Give it a little dab if you need to. Grace: Yeah, because...Ok, there it is. Now it's coming out there. Cute. Now it's gluing on my hand because I put it on both sides. Sonya: Well, once it dries it should be down there for you. Grace: Very cool. So now I'm just adding some more...I'll add a couple so people can...And you can like put one here. Sonya: Exactly. Put one on top the photo. You just want to keep things in clusters. Grace: Make it more fun. Sonya: Exactly. Grace: And how about the buttons? Sonya: Now with the buttons, it's a harder embellishment, a little bit more heavy, so you want to use glue dots. Glue dots are sort of congealed little droplets of glue that are super strong. They're on a transfer tape. I don't know if you can see it on the camera, but they're there. And what you do is you just put your button on top, peel it off... Grace: Nice. Sonya: And you've got some glue dots. And those are really strong. Grace: Look how fun. And you can just fill the whole page with buttons and flowers and anything you want. Sonya: Exactly. Just make it really sparkle. Grace: Fun. That's great. So what I'm going to do next?
