"Hi welcome back to Expert Village, Arts and Crafts and Everything Fun. Today we've been learning all about scrap booking, and now my guest, Sonya Shepard, is going to teach us how to embellish the basic layout. Exactly. Well, first of all, you definitely want to make sure that you've got some room for your journaling and your captioning. So this line, Tresjulie, actually has some really fun little journaling cards. They have the lines on them; it makes it really easy to write. So we've left a little bit of room for that. You've got your acid free pen there, make sure you're using all your acid free materials again, the paper, the stickers, everything needs to be acid free, archival quality. So why don't you go ahead and throw a little caption on there? Let's see, let's put 'Grace's Trip'. I'll pretend I've been to Guatemala. Never been there. Maybe you'll go someday, and they'll have it all ready for you. Yes. Coming up soon. How about that? Grace's Trip, coming up soon. There you go. Just being silly. No problem. And so now we have to decide where to put it. Exactly. Again, sort of like a jigsaw puzzle. You play around with a little bit of places. And that's actually a really fun spot, maybe down in the bottom in the corner? No, actually I like this. You like showing the design a little bit. Design, so maybe here, that may be fun. We can do that there. Now you can glue it down with your tap dispenser or you can use a functional embellishment, like an eyelet. So the eyelets are not only fun to play with, but they actually have a purpose because they fasten materials to your scrapbook page. And it matches the color. And it matches. Beautiful. I think I've got one with every color in here, so we can find something. So you can buy like a whole box full of these things. Well, this is a storage container that I bought to organize all of the eyelets, all of the brads I'd already purchased. But yes, you can get combo packs and this is a great tool that little, fun little things you'll use all the time in your scrap booking. How fun, so how do we do that? Well, you basically all you need is a hole, a little hole, and I've got a paper piercer here. I'm going to be careful not to poke you. If you don't have a paper piercer, you can use a thumbtack, and you're pushing your brad through. And if you want to flip that around, Grace, it fans out on the back. There you go. So now, we've have, look how cool that looks with that brad there. It's a functional embellishment. Beautiful. Great. So what's coming up next? We're going to add some flowers and some buttons to our page and we're going to call it a day. How fun! That's coming up next."
