" Hi, welcome back to Expert Village. We are learning all about scrapbooking and now we are going to learn all about the grid. The grid, Grace, some people sometimes they just really want a good idea of where to put the photos on the way up, give me a rule, give me something hard and fast and that's what I am going to give you. I want you to picture the layout like a giant Tic-Tac-Toe board. You are going to look at things in thirds from your columns here to rows and where those points intersect is really where you want the focus of your layout to be. You generally aren't going to want them to be smack dab in the middle like that. Why not? Well, you know it's just sort of a bullseye. It's just there. It's just boring, too. It's just a little bit boring. But, if you kind of start to arrange things over here, there, you know, get a little funky with it. You know, let's see, let's throw something in there, maybe we overlap and lay things out a bit. You get a little bit of a circular motion here to it and it's just more, much more fun. Definitely, more fun. So that's the rule of the grid, the rule of the thirds, the Tic-Tac-Toe. The neat thing about is you can actually use this when you are composing your actual photograph. When you are taking your pictures, don't necessarily take your pictures dead on the thing. You want to take the picture right in the middle of your frame. Move it a little bit to the side, up, down, frame it with something else. And you will get some really great photographs. That's great. That's a great tip. Thank you. So remember, use the grid. It's going to make your design much better. So what's coming up next? Next, we are going to matte our photos and glue them down. Oh fun, so framing is coming up next. That's my business. There, you have it. So stay tuned for that."
